AGV .italo

The AGV .italo has commenced commercial service on the high-speed Naples-Rome-Florence-Bologna-Milan line in Italy.

Spain

Alstom celebrates 20 years of Very High Speed in Spain. Alstom’s high-speed trains built for the Madrid-Seville line, were officially inaugurated in April 1992 and have been running at 300 km/h ever since. In 2011, they covered more than 6 million kilometres and carried more than 2 million passengers.

Citadis Tramways

Christian Lacroix and Alstom have joined forces to develop the design for the new Citadis tramways in Montpellier (France). This collaboration is further evidence of how modular Alstom’s Citadis tramways are.

Euroduplex

On 23 March, Alstom’s Euroduplex very high-speed train entered commercial service on the new international Frankfurt - Marseilles connection with two daily round-trips.

Banedanmark has awarded Alstom two major signalling contracts. Denmark has a rail network comprising 2100kms of commercial lines and 3200 kms of track. It is the first country in the world to undertake the replacement of its entire rail signalling system

      28 April 2012 - The AGV .italo has commenced commercial service on the high-speed Naples-Rome-Florence-Bologna-Milan line in Italy. The first day of service was an opportunity for private Italian operator NTV’s first passengers to enjoy the comfort and design of the AGV .italo.

      The AGV .italo made an inaugural run between Rome and Naples (Italy) with several journalists and NTV management aboard. The train left Rome, as planned, just before 10 o’clock and it arrived on time in Naples at 11.05.

      Christian Lacroix and Alstom have joined forces to develop fresh designs for the new Citadis tramways, which were unveiled on 6 April when lines 3 and 4 of the Montpellier tramways were inaugurated.

      Entry into revenue service of the new international Frankfurt–Marseilles connection is effective since 23 March. The Alstom very high-speed train Euroduplex will make two daily round-trips on this line. This is the first direct high-speed commercial service between the South of France and Frankfurt. It will be operated by the SNCF and the DB.

      Shipped from the Alstom plant in La Rochelle several days earlier, the first of the 22 Citadis tramsets ordered by the city of Le Havre in July 2010 has just been delivered in the presence of Edouard Philippe, President of the Le Havre conurbation (CODAH). The tram will participate in the first tests on the tramway line scheduled to begin in March.

      The first of 25 Citadis tramsets that will begin operating on the new section of the T3 tramline (Porte d’Ivry – Porte de la Chapelle) by the end of the year made a debut appearance at Porte de Pantin (in Paris’s 19th arrondissement) where it was officially presented to the press by local elected officials and RATP management.
