Optimised accessibility

Platform-level access provided on all entrances of the train either at 550 mm or 760 mm platform, ensures convenient accessibility for all passengers. Multiple access doors evenly distributed along the train with large vestibules improve station dwell time. Inside the cars, the center area of a Coradia Max train boasts a flat floor, providing a seamless and comfortable experience for all. Additionally, the center car is equipped with a multi-purpose area, specifically designed to cater to the needs of individuals using wheelchairs or strollers.

Excellent passenger comfort

The train is designed to offer a higher comfort interior to enhance the overall travel experience. The extended gauge of a Coradia Max regional train offers more spaciousness in the upper part, giving passengers a better sense of openness. The train has several flexible spaces, allowing dedicated areas for bicycles, strollers, or place for large luggage. Great Wi-Fi connectivity and good lighting also makes the trip more enjoyable.

Award winning exterior design

In 2022, Alstom won the “Good Design Award™” for the exterior appearance of the Coradia high-capacity train for German customer, LNVG. In its motivation, The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies said, “The closed and tidy modelled shape with invisible anti climbers supports the dynamic character visually and optimise the aerodynamic performance and low noise emission of the front end." The new front of the train is, "characterised by the contrast of soft modelled free form surfaces with a distinctive clear 'streamline' edge, with optimised aerodynamic performance for energy consumption and noise."
