Alstom has been awarded contracts worth approximately €335 million ($450M) to supply a power island (KA24) for Iberdrola’s Monterrey III combined-cycle power plant in Mexico.

Alstom, working as part of a consortium with Bombardier Transport and AREVA TA, will be supplying STIF (the Ile-de-France Transport Authority) and RATP (the Paris-based public transport operator) with 12 new MF01 metro sets for lines 2 (Porte-Dauphine-Nation), 5 (Place d’Italie-Bobigny) and 9 (Pont de Sèvres-Mairie de Montreuil) of the Paris metro network. The project is worth around 75 million Euros.
Alstom has signed a framework agreement with the Communauté des Transports Strasbourgeois (CTS, the Strasbourg Transport Company) for the supply of 50 Citadis trams. The first part of the agreement concerns an order for 12 trams, worth a total of 41 million euros. These are expected to enter service by the end of 2016.
Alstom Renewable Power Chairman Jérôme Pécresse and DCNS Maritime Energy and Infrastructures Division Director Thierry Kalanquin were on hand today as both groups signed a partnership agreement in the floating wind energy business. The agreement aims at developing and then commercialising an integrated system for a semi-submersible floating wind turbine delivering 6 MW.
Alstom Bharat Forge Power Ltd. (ABFPL), the joint venture company between Alstom and Bharat Forge, has signed a contract worth approximately € 130 million (11365 MINR) with NTPC Limited to supply two units of 660 MW supercritical turbine islands for the Tanda coal power plant, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India.
Alstom signed Letter of Intents with Landers of Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, and the Public Transportation Authorities of Hesse, to supply a new generation of emission-free train equipped with fuel cell drive. The development of this passenger train is partly financed by the German Federal Ministry of Transportation. Two prototypes will be tested in 2018.

Alstom launches HealthHub, a new predictive maintenance tool able to monitor the health of trains, infrastructure and signalling assets using advanced data analytics to predict their remaining useful life. HealthHub has been presented at InnoTrans, the world’s biggest railway tradeshow which takes place in Berlin from 23-26 September. It is an innovative approach designed to shift from traditional mileage-based maintenance to condition-based predictive maintenance, thus reducing the lifecycle cost for the operator.

Alstom’s Citadis tramway was upgraded to deliver extra configurations, capacity, flexibility, speed and an enhanced passenger experience.
Alstom launches Atlas 400 and 500 to offer scalable ERTMS for traffic density from 6 to 600 trains per day, whether on passenger, freight or mixed traffic lines. The solutions have been presented at InnoTrans, the biggest railway tradeshow in the world which takes place in Berlin from 23-26 September. They are applicable for a resignalling upgrade or a new-build project. The scalability or configurable deployment in accordance with customer needs is achieved with modular software applicable to the same onboard and trackside computer equipment.
For the fourth year in a row, Alstom has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) – World & Europe, which recognize companies’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, with a score largely above the average for the industrial engineering sector included in the index.
