Alstom and Japan Transport Engineering Company (J-TREC) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly assess the light rail transit and tramway markets. Alstom T&D India has concluded the successful delivery of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited’s (PGCIL) 230 kV transmission project, worth around INR 1050 million (€15 million), in Myanmar.

The first of 20 multiple train units manufactured for PKP Intercity by Alstom will arrive for tests in Poland this year. Comfortable and safe trains will be operated starting from 2014.
