Alstom’s Innovation Awards 2017: in-house ingenuity


The 10th edition of the Innovation Awards, the high point of Alstom’s internal innovation programme I Nove You, came to a close on Monday, December 4th.  

Alstom secures new high speed operation in Germany with its onboard signalling control systems for ICEs


Alstom has been equipping for Deutsche Bahn the complete ICE high speed fleet, intended for the German Unity Transport Project VDE 8, with its Atlas 200 onboard control systems (ETCS/ERTMS  level 2 baseline 3).

Alstom and the Iraqi government sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the development of urban transport


Alstom has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Iraqi government for the development of urban transport in Baghdad and Basra.

ACTN consortium will complete the civil works for Cuenca Tram Project


The ACTN Consortium was selected to complete the civil works of the Cuenca Tram. It is composed of Alstom, CIM (Compagnie Internationale de Maintenance) and NGE Group (TSO and NGE contracting).

Alstom will install its latest generation ERTMS technology in Adif’s laboratory trains


Alstom has been awarded a project by the Spanish railway infrastructure manager Adif to equip three  auscultation trains with its latest ERTMS technology solution Atlas. This upgrade of the on-board signalling systems on ADIF's monitoring trains will contribute to  increase its services portfolio and improve performance. With this new on board solution, Adif laboratory trains will be fully aligned with the new European technical requirements for safety and interoperability.

Alstom delivers the first overhauled BB36000 locomotive to Akiem


Alstom has delivered the first overhauled BB36000 locomotive out of a total of 7 vehicles covered by a mid-life overhaul contract  signed on 22 April 2016.

Alstom Foundation will finance 17 new projects around the world including one in France plus six from French charities


The Alstom Foundation will support 17 projects this year spread across all continents with a particular focus on economic and social development. The selected projects are in: Cambodia, India, Philippines, Vietnam, France, Italy, the UK, Chile, Mexico, Peru, USA, Algeria, Morocco and Senegal. 

Alstom’s Citadis trams arrive in Dublin from La Rochelle


Alstom has successfully delivered the first longest Citadis trams ever to Dublin from its factory in La Rochelle, France.

The Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois tests Aptis, the 100% electric mobility solution from Alstom and its subsidiary NTL


Alstom, NTL and the Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois (CTS) are testing Aptis on 20 and 24 November on line 10 of the Eurométropole network, under actual service conditions with passengers.
