Alstom launches the Women Forum initiative in Chorzow


Alstom in Poland organized today in Chorzow its first edition of the Women forum, an initiative aimed at promoting gender diversity within the company.

Alstom joins AEDIVE, the Spanish Association for the development of electric transport


Alstom has joined the Spanish business association for the promotion and development of the electric vehicle market (AEDIVE), in line with the company’s strategy to build sustainable transportation. Alstom aims at developing new infrastructure technologies in the field of rail or road electric mobility based on its railway expertise and at contributing to a zero-emission transport system in Spain

Alstom, through Alstom Alliance, reinforces partnerships with key suppliers to better address customers’ needs


Alstom, which announced a year ago the launch of a strategic partnership program with its main key suppliers, has welcomed about 10 new members, during Innotrans fair, including Schneider Electric, Nexans, Soreel, Sanmina, Knorr Bremse, Faiveley and Midas bringing the total number of members to 34. Based on three pillars: business development, industrial excellence and product and innovation, the program supports Alstom’s strategy.

Alstom hands over five Prima H3 locomotives to Deutsche Bahn


Alstom handed over five Prima H3 hybrid shunting locomotives to Deutsche Bahn during a ceremony at Alstom’s Stendal site in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, where the locomotives were built.

Alstom presents its flagship regional train Coradia in Bucharest


Alstom presents today its Coradia Polyvalent regional train in the Northern Railway Station of Bucharest, on the occasion of the “Railway Pro Investment Summit” event. Designed and produced in France, the train, especially built for Romania, is fully functional but without interior fittings. 

Alstom, ACCIONA and Gulermak sign a contract with RTA for the extension of Dubai Metro’s Red line


The Alstom-led consortium Expolink, also composed of ACCIONA and Gulermak, has signed a contract with RTA (Roads & Transport Authority) to design and build the extension of Dubai’s Red metro line and upgrade the system of the existing line.

Alstom wins Investor Award for international development


Alstom has received from Boursorama, a leading internet portal for free online financial information in France, the ‘International Development Award’ as part of the Investors Awards 2016. The award results from Alstom’s strategy for international growth and maximized proximity to its customers to better meet booming mobility demands around the globe.

Alstom starts construction of new rail technology centre in the North West of England


Alstom today celebrates the start of construction work on its new technology centre and training academy in Widnes at a ground-breaking ceremony attended by UK Rail Minister Paul Maynard. 

The French Government and Alstom present a plan to maintain the railway and industrial activities on Belfort site


Christophe Sirugue, Minister of State for the Industry and Henri Poupart-Lafarge, Alstom Chairman and CEO, presented today in Belfort a plan to maintain the railway and industrial activities on Belfort site. The axes have been identified and constitute an alternative plan compared to the previous plan: announcements of orders, development of services activities and significant investments for the diversification of the site.  

Alstom delivers the first cross-border Citadis between Strasbourg and Kehl


Alstom has delivered the first of the new Citadis trams for Strasbourg, less than two years after signing a framework agreement with the Strasbourg transport company CTS (Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois) for the supply of 50 trams.
