Alstom Power has concluded a contract in Finland with Vattenfall Lämpö Oy
for gas turbine service at the Vanaja Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant in
Hämeenlinna. The contract includes the hot gas path (HGP) inspection of the
plant’s 40 MW 6B gas turbine and the delivery of new replacement parts and reconditioning
works of old parts.

The hot gas path inspection of the gas turbine at the plant will begin
in May 2011. The reconditioning works of the defective/broken parts will be carried out at Alstom GT reconditioning
centres in Dubai and Florida during the summer. The gas turbine
will be back in operation at the beginning of October 2011.

The Vanaja CHP plant produces 100 MW of district
heating to the city of Hämeenlinna
and 60 MW of electricity to the national grid with domestic biofuels, peat and natural
gas.

The new replacement parts for the gas turbine will be delivered by Power
Systems Mfg Ltd (PSM), a wholly owned subsidiary company of Alstom in charge of
the other OEM gas turbine business. PSM is headquartered in Jupiter, Florida
(US) and operates its European hub out of Baden,
Switzerland.
