For the fifth year in a row, Alstom has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World & Europe, which recognize companies corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, with a score largely above the average for the industrial engineering sector included in the index.

Launched in 1999, the DJSI were the first global indices tracking the financial performance of leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide. In 2015, RobecoSAM, the rating agency, evaluated the performance of around 1,800 companies; more than 300 were selected in the World index (+ 160 for Europe) upon three criteria: economic, social and environmental. The performance analysis assesses topics such as corporate governance, risk management, code of conduct/ethics, innovation, strategy for emerging markets, customer relationship, environment, climate change mitigation, supply chain standards, labour practices...
