No stranger to the business Mr Spohr said, Strengthening our existing portfolio and timely execution of all our current contracts are of utmost importance to me. India stands at the cusp of modernisation in the mobility space, an exciting time for all the players in this field. I look forward to my tenure at Alstom.

Mr Bharat Salhotra, his predecessor, has been elevated to the office of Vice President Sales & Business Development, Asia Pacific region based in New Delhi. Mr Salhotra joined Alstom in October 2013. Under his aegis, the company not just established itself as a leader in the sustainable mobility space in India but also grew its footprint in the country.  In his new role, Mr Salhotra will be responsible for further developing the commercials in the region and for pursuing new directions to continue growing Alstom in India.

As the Government looks to modernise and develop the infrastructure in the public spaces, together with Alain, my focus will be to build a thriving partner ecosystem to accelerate this transformation and to unlock new opportunity with the best of innovation across our portfolio. Not just in and for India but also throughout South East Asia. Region Asia Pacific is seeing a lot of new investment in the transport sector and I am looking forward to the new challenges.
