Alstom presents first freight locomotive for Azerbaijan


Alstom today presented the first Prima T8 AZ8A electric freight locomotive for Azerbaijan Railways (ADY). The event took place at Alstom’s site in Astana, Kazakhstan, where 40 such locomotives are being manufactured by Alstom joint venture EKZ.

Alstom appoints Irina Lukoshkova as General Director for KEP JV in Almaty


Alstom has appointed Irina Lukoshkova as General Director for the KazElectroPrivod joint-venture, based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Irina was previously Head of Projects Department in Electric Locomotives Assembly Plant (EKZ), another Alstom JV in Kazakhstan.

Business Combination Agreement signed and top Board Members nomination proposals


Siemens and Alstom have set the next key milestone for a champion in mobility. They have entered today into a Business Combination Agreement (BCA) regarding the proposed combination of Siemens’ mobility business, including its rail traction drive business, with Alstom.

Excellent results for Alstom in the first half 2017/18


Between 1 April 2017 and 30 September 2017, Alstom booked €3.2 billion of orders. Sales, at €3.8 billion were up 5% organically. The adjusted EBIT increased to €231 million, 16% above last year, leading to an adjusted EBIT margin of 6.2%.

Alstom presented first passenger locomotive for Azerbaijan


Alstom presented its first Prima M4 passenger locomotive for Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) today in Belfort, France. Ten Prima M4 (AZ4A) passenger locomotives are being manufactured on this site as part of a contract awarded by ADY in 2014.
