Alstom Coradia Lint commuter trains start commercial service in Ottawa


On 2 March 2015, the Alstom Coradia Lint trains delivered to OC Transpo entered into service on the 8-kilometre light rail O-Train Trillium Line in Ottawa, Canada. In 2012, OC Transpo, the urban transit service for the City of Ottawa, entrusted Alstom with the supply of six Coradia Lint diesel multiple-units (DMU). The DMUs' robust passenger capacity and flexibility will help meet growing ridership and demand from passengers on the expanded O-Train Trillium Line.

Alstom’s GT13E2 E-Class gas turbine  achieved a significant milestone by accumulating more than 10 million fired hours.

Alstom announces a major milestone for Deepwater’s Block Island Offshore Wind Project


Alstom announced it has received formal notice to proceed (NTP) from developers of the Deepwater Wind project, which will feature five Alstom Haliade 150 6-MW offshore wind turbines and is poised to become America’s first commercial offshore wind farm.

Alstom to build the first ultra-supercritical lignite-fired power plant in Asia


The total amount of the contract is €950 million in total, with Alstom’s share of the contract worth approximately €520 million. 

Alstom Pendolino high speed train achieves 1 million kilometres in Poland


Pendolino, Alstom’s high speed train, has successfully covered one million kilometres in Poland. Since the start of its operation, mid-December 2014, Alstom has secured a 100% availability of the train fleet which has made around 2,000 journeys, connecting the main cities of Warsaw, Gdansk, Gdynia, Krakow, Katowice and Wroclaw.

Alstom awarded contracts to supply signalling and infrastructure for Cairo metro line 3


Alstom has signed two contracts with Egypt's National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) to supply the signalling system and the infrastructure of the phase 4A of Cairo metro line 3, currently under construction. Alstom's shares in these contracts are worth around €80 million.

Alstom to deliver to Sydney Citadis X05, the latest evolution of its tram range


The ALTRAC consortium, of which Alstom is part, announced that the contract for the new Sydney tramway line awarded by the State’s public transport authority, Transport for New South Wales, has come into force.

Alstom welcomes the determination of the World Bank’s Integrity Compliance Office (“ICO”) that Alstom has implemented a corporate compliance program in line with the World Bank’s integrity compliance guidelines. The ICO also concluded that Alstom has satisfied all of the other conditions of its 21 February 2012 settlement with the World Bank. 

Alstom to supply four additional Pendolino high speed trains to SBB


Alstom has been awarded a contract worth around €115 million by SBB - the Swiss federal railway operator - for the supply of four Pendolino high speed trains . The first two trains will be delivered in 2016 and the two others in 2017.
