From 1 April to 30 June 2014, Alstom booked €8.2 billion orders, twice the level of the first quarter last year. This record performance derives essentially from a contract with PRASA in South Africa booked in Transport for around €4 billion, as well as a good flow of orders in Renewable Power and Grid.
Alstom has signed with Renova Energia, leader in wind power generation in Brazil, a contract totalling around €320 million , to deliver, erect and commission 127 wind turbines, in the wind complex Umburanas, located in Bahia State.
Megalim Solar Power Ltd (Megalim) - a special purpose company formed by Alstom (25.05%), BrightSource (25.05%), and NOY Infrastructure & Energy Investment Fund (49,9%) - obtained the financing of the European Investment Bank and the Bank Hapoalim for the construction and operation of the Ashalim Thermal Solar Power Station in Israel.
Alstom signed a contract worth around 120 million euros with Tractebel Energia Brasil, the largest private power generator in Brazil, to supply 36 units of ECO 122 wind turbines to Trairí II project, a wind farm located in Ceará State, Northeast of Brazil. The commissioning of Trairí project is scheduled for mid-2016 and will generate 97.2MW.
Alstom’s ordinary and extraordinary shareholders’ meeting, convened on 1 July 2014,
approved all the resolutions with the exception of the 20th resolution, which proposed to introduce in the bylaws of Alstom a new provision in order to maintain single voting rights.
Alstom signed a contract with PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A., worth approximately €80 million , for the supply of 30 ECO110 wind turbines for the “Lotnisko 90MW” wind farm, which will be based in Kopaniewo.

Alstom is to supply 15 Citadis Dualis for the Ile-de-France region after an SNCF exercise of option on behalf of STIF. This order, which is part of the framework agreement signed in 2007 on behalf of the French regions, amounts to a total of 80 million euros. The delivery of the 15 Citadis Dualis tram-trains will begin in the summer of 2016 for an expected commercial operation from July 2017, on the Epinay-sur-Seine and Le Bourget sections of the TLN line.

On Thursday 15 May 2014, the ground-breaking ceremony for the onshore converter station takes place at the Dörpen West site in Heede, Germany, with representatives of Transmission System Operator TenneT, contractor Alstom and the mayors of the joint municipalities of Dörpen and Heede taking part, together with local and regional politicians and public figures.

Alstom is pleased to announce that PRASA and Gibela , have concluded the financial close of the contract signed on the 14 October 2013 for the supply of 600 X’Ttrapolis Mega commuter trains (3,600 cars) over a period of 10 years. The contract includes the construction of a local manufacturing facility in Dunnottar, 50 km east of Johannesburg. In addition, Gibela will provide technical support and supply of spare parts over an 18-year period. The overall value of this contract is worth € 4bn.
Alstom continues and deepens its strategic reflection and will make a further announcement no later than Wednesday 30 April morning. In the meantime, the company has requested that the trading of its shares remains suspended.
In response to recent speculation in the economic press, Alstom is not informed of any potential public tender offer for the shares of the Company.
Alstom’s share is worth around €220 million. The contract will cover 310 km of new high speed line from Valladolid to León and from Venta de Baños to Burgos.
