Alstom’s Pendolino fleet starts commercial service on the Polish network


Alstom’s Pendolino, the first high-speed train to operate in Poland, entered in service today. This inauguration opens a new era for railway travels in Poland, offering passengers enhanced comfort, safety, new standards and shorter travel time between the northern and the southern parts of the country.

Alstom signs 12 year Long Term Service Agreement for North Bangkok combined-cycle power plant


Alstom has been selected by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) to provide turnkey maintenance for two gas turbines at the North Bangkok combined-cycle power plant (CCPP) Block 2. 

Alstom increases its share in its Kazakh locomotive joint venture which is awarded a €1.3 billion maintenance contract


Alstom signed today an agreement with the Kazakh national railway company (KTZ) to acquire an additional 25% of KTZ’s stake, thereby bringing its total share to 50%, in the EKZ joint venture (JV). This JV has been awarded a €1.3 billion contract for the maintenance of freight (KZ8A) and passenger (KZ4AT) electric locomotives during 25 years.

Alstom chosen to equip pilot tidal farm at raz Blanchard in France


Alstom, together with GDF SUEZ, has been chosen by the Prime Minister to supply equipment for a tidal energy pilot farm at Raz Blanchard, west of the Cotentin peninsula (Manche), following the findings of a study conducted by the ADEME.

Alstom inaugurating France’s first offshore wind turbine production plants in Saint-Nazaire


On 2 December 2014 in Saint-Nazaire, Alstom inaugurated France’s first offshore wind turbine production plants in the presence of French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, Alstom Chairman and Managing Director Patrick Kron, and Alstom Renewable Power Chairman Jérôme Pécresse. 

Alstom and OHL to supply a metro system to Guadalajara


Alstom, in association with CPVM, a company from OHL group, has been awarded a contract by the Secretariat of Communications and Transport of Mexico to supply a full system for Line 3 of Guadalajara metro. Alstom’s share in the contract is worth around €240 million. The line is 20 km long and will run through Zapopan, Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque municipalities in the State of Jalisco. It will provide fast, comfortable and safe transportation to 233,000 passengers daily. 

Alstom to supply Romania with Atlas 200, its ERTMS Level 2 solution


Alstom, leader of a consortium composed of Alcatel Lucent Romania and Pas 97 Impex, will supply the Romania national railway company (CFR S.A.) with Atlas 200, its ERTMS Level 2 solution for the Sighișoara-Coșlariu-Simeria high-speed railway segment. Alstom’s share in the contract is worth around €100 million.

Alstom’s tramway system starts operation on the world’s first 100% catenary-free line


On 11 November, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince, Chairman of the Executive Council inaugurated the Dubai Tram, in presence of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council and His excellency, Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Henri Poupart-Lafarge, President of Alstom Transport.
