Bruno Marguet has been appointed Head of Digital Transformation at Alstom as of November 2015, in addition to his current responsibilities as Vice President Strategy.

Alstom signs two significant mainline contracts in India


Alstom today signed two major contracts in India for a total amount of more than €3.7 billion. The first contract for the supply of 800 electric locomotives and associated maintenance. The second contract was signed with DFCCIL (Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd.) and relates to the electrification, signalling and telecommunications system for a part of the eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC).

Alstom to acquire shares in South African rail company CTLE, strengthening its presence in the country


Alstom signed an agreement to purchase a 51% share in the South African rail company CTLE (Commuter Transport & Locomotive Engineering), specialized in the modernisation of trains, from South African companies CTE  and IDC  which will remain shareholders.

Alstom to supply 47 locomotives to SBB Infrastructure


Alstom has been awarded a €175 million contract to supply 47 dual-mode locomotives to SBB Infrastructure in Switzerland. 

Alstom to supply 800 double electric locomotives to Indian Railways


Alstom has received a Letter of Award from the Ministry of Railways to supply Indian Railways with 800 double section freight electric locomotives with associated long-term maintenance.

Alstom refocused on rail transport with strong leadership positions


Alstom closes the sale of its Energy activities (Power generation and Grid) to General Electric for an amount of approximately €12.4 billion. Consequently the Group is today entirely refocused on rail transport.
