    Alstom achieves a solid commercial and operational performance and free cash flow turns positive

    Between 1 April 2012 and 31 March 2013, Alstom booked €23.8 billion of orders, up 10% compared to last year. As announced, the group achieved a strong level of orders in the fourth quarter at €6.6 billion, leading to a book-to-bill above 1 for the 10th consecutive quarter.

    Alstom Grid Enerji Endüstrisi A.Ş. has achieved first prize in the category of “Electrical Generation and Distribution Equipment” according to the 2012 top exporters report announced by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM). During two ceremonies, held in Istanbul, Alstom won awards as both “Export Champion 2012 ” and “Star of Export 2012 ”. These annual events award the companies which have achieved the highest volume of export in their respective categories over the previous year.

    Alstom Grid Turkey manufactures one of the biggest generator step-up transformer for Slovenia

    Alstom Grid Turkey broke a new ground once again by manufacturing the biggest generator step-up transformer, 710 MVA, 400/21 kV produced in Gebze site. This is also the first transformer produced by Gebze site to be delivered to Slovenia. The transformer is destined for the 600 MW Power Island substation for end user Thermoelektrarna ŠOŠTANJ (TES), the Slovenian state-owned utility

    Inauguration of Casablanca’s first tram line in Morocco

    On December 12th, 2012, His Majesty the King of Morocco Mohammed VI inaugurated the Casablanca tramway. Attending the event were Moroccan and French Prime Ministers, Wali of the Casablanca Region Mohamed Bousaid, Mayor of Casablanca Mohamed Sajid as well as Casa Transports Managing Director Youssef Draiss, RATP Chairman Pierre Mongin, and Alstom Chairman and CEO Patrick Kron.
