Alstom Grid Enerji Endüstrisi A.Ş. was recently awarded “Star of Export 2013”in Turkey with the highest volume of export in the “Transformers, Inductors” category. The annual awards ceremony - organised by Istanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters’ Associations (IMMIB) - took place on February 19th to recognise top exporters.
Alstom Transport will be at the Eurasia Rail 2014 exhibition, to be held in Istanbul, Turkey from 6-8 March 2014. Around 300 local and international companies should be present at this exhibition, which specializes in railway, light rail systems, infrastructure and logistics.
Alstom Grid in Turkey will supply two shunt reactors for TenneT, the transmission system operator for Germany and the Netherlands, to improve grid stability across its transmission lines. These shunt reactors will be the first manufactured by Alstom’s Gebze site for the German market and are due for commissioning in 2015.
Alstom has signed two contracts totaling around €400 million with Queiroz Galvão, one of the main infrastructure groups in Brazil, to deliver, erect and commission ECO 122 wind turbines at two large wind farms - Caldeirão Grande I and II, both located in the state of Piauí State, Northeast of Brazil.
Alstom sets a high-speed record in Poland reaching 293 km/h while conducting tests on its Pendolino train on the Gora Wlodowska - Psary line north-west of Krakow. The record was reached as Alstom was conducting tests in the presence and in partnership with its customer, Polish operator PKP Intercity.
