ALSTOM to supply signaling for Hong Kong's East rail
line

The order has two aspects: a signaling system for the new 9
km, two-station East Rail line extension and a capacity upgrade
of the entire East Rail line to allow up to 27 trains operating
on the line per hour.
The East Rail line is already in operation with
an ALSTOM Signaling system. The upgrade will be made possible by
integrating ALSTOM's service-proven, technologically advanced
ADVANTIK'! Automatic Train Control and Signaling system. This
will increase line capacity and enhance line safety without
requiring any major modification to rolling stock or
infrastructure.
