Cinerail 2001, France's 10th International train & film
festival is right on track

The video presentations shown at Cinerail included corporate
films, advertisements, creative short films and television
documentaries and reports all reflecting the positive
influence of railways.

Competition prizes included:

• The Golden Cinerail 
• The Silver Cinerail for the best corporate films 
• The Silver Cinerail for the best creative short-footage
  film rewarded by a cash price 
• The Bronze Cinerail given of the basis of number and
  quality of films in each category 
• The Publics prize 
• The Junior jurys prize 
• The Student jurs prize

As well as sponsoring the event, ALSTOM presented two films:
The first featuring AXONIS, its systems solutions for automatic
trains and the second presenting ALSTOMs work on the AGV
(Automotrice Grande Vitesse).

During the festival ALSTOM organized a visit to its
Valenciennes factory as well as a nearby test-track complex used
by the company. The Valenciennes factory specializes in urban
transport equipment, and is the companys center of
excellence for double-deck train cars and metros.
