The three-car trains will have a capacity of 211 seated places
and can operate at up to 200 kilometers per hour, offering high

This new order is financed by the Region of Brittany and will
run on rail lines linking the cities of Rennes, Brest, Quimper,
Nantes, Laval and Le Mans. With this order, a total of 35 trains
of this type have been ordered by the SNCF for various Regions of
France. They are 'Centre' and later 'Pays-de-la-Loire',
'Poitou-Charentes' and 'Aquitaine'.

The vehicles for Brittany will be built at ALSTOM’s unit
(FR). They will be delivered end 2003 and will enter
in commercial service in beginning 2004.

From TGVs to trams, metros, suburban and tilting regional or
high-speed-inter-city trains, ALSTOM designs and produces a
complete range of trains. The company also makes locomotives
& freight wagons, signaling & train control systems, and
offers complete turnkey rail systems and maintenance or
