ALSTOM wins an order for 8 regional trains from French
national railways

The value of the contract is €12 million, and the trains
will be assembled at ALSTOM’s site in Reichshoffen.

Many other French regions have already chosen this train,
which has found popularity with its passengers. SNCF put the
first train into commercial service in 1999, and today 313 are in
operation throughout France.

From ALSTOM’s range of CORADIA regional trains, six of
them have also been sold to the national railways of Luxembourg
(CFL) and 40 others to Deutsche Bahn, who named them BR 641.
