Together with its Chinese partner Nanjing Puzhen Rail
Transport Co. and the Shanghai Alstom Transport Electric
Equipment Co. (SATEE) joint venture, Alstom won a contract in
April 2007, to which additional options were added in March
2008, for the delivery of 210 Metropolis carriages for line 2
of the Nanjing metro.
All told, over 450 Metropolis carriages were ordered for lines
1 and 2 of the Nanjing metro.
