Vincent Lecat has been appointed Hornell Site Managing Director for Alstom Hornell, NY. In this role, he will assume responsibility for Hornells site Operations, Projects and Tenders and report to Jerome Wallut, SVP of Alstom Transport North America. As Hornell Managing Director, Vincent will lead all rolling stock and components activities in the United States and Canada.

Hornell is the heart of Alstom Transports North American manufacturing operations and is the only facility of its kind in the region, said Vincent Lecat. I am pleased to be back in Hornell and look forwarded to serving our employees, community and customers and continue the legacy of rail manufacturing excellence here in Hornell.

Lecat is a 20 years veteran of Alstom. Prior to this new role, he worked in Hornell as head of Industrial and Operations and was site Managing Director for Alstoms manufacturing facilities in Montreal, QC and most recently Alstoms high-speed rail manufacturing center in Belfort, France. Lecat has extensive experience in manufacturing management including process control, engineering and design, supply chain, cost reduction, lean manufacturing, Environment Health Safety (EHS) and quality assurance.

Hornell is the largest passenger rail manufacturing facility in North America and has been in operation for over 150 years. The facility has delivered new and refurbished rail vehicles and components to North Americas largest transit agencies including New York City Transit (NYCT), Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), New Jersey Transit (NJT) and Amtrak.
