6 May 2025 – Alstom, a world leader in sustainable and intelligent mobility, has achieved the "Exemplary" level of the Corporate Social Responsibility label in Spain,  the highest level of compliance in sustainable development certification according to the ISO 26000 standard. This distinction, awarded by the international certifier AFNOR, recognises Alstom in Spain's commitment and contribution to the country's economic and sustainable development.

The ISO 26000 standard, the sole international framework providing direction to organisations on social responsibility, establishes guidelines for organisations to achieve excellence in sustainable development and social responsibility beyond legal requirements. It promotes transparency and good practices in areas such as governance, human resources, occupational health and welfare, environment, production systems, presence in the country, and community support, among others. The achievement of the "Exemplary" level highlights how Alstom in Spain is among the best companies in the country in this field, fully integrating the principles of sustainability and good governance in its business model.
