4 February 2026 – Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, announces the opening of its new Hub in Naples, located in the heart of the Centro Direzionale business district. The new space offers around 50 workstations with modular environments designed to foster collaboration among teams involved in major projects for the modernization of the region’s railway infrastructure.
"With the opening of the Naples hub, we are strengthening our presence in a key region for Italian railway mobility."
The initiative is part of Alstom’s strategic plan for growth and consolidation in Italy and the regions where it operates, aiming to enhance employee well-being by reducing travel between sites, promoting flexible work, and developing local talent and skills.
The hub will serve as an operational center for ongoing regional mobility projects, including A168 EAV, which involves the installation on the Vesuvian lines of an advanced signalling system based on ACCM1 and ERTMS solutions across more than 140 km, as well as upgrades to substations and electrical traction systems and ERTMS AQ2, that includes the implementation of signalling and telecommunications systems, along with associated upgrades to civil and electrical infrastructure. In parallel, Alstom aims to strengthen local expertise by recruiting new professionals throughout the year for key roles such as Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, and Systems Engineers, as well as Maintenance Technicians and Troubleshooters. Supporting this growth, partnerships continue with ITS Maddaloni and the Universities of Naples “Federico II” and “Parthenope” through internship programs and dedicated training pathways for young talent to meet the challenges of future mobility.
“With the opening of the Naples hub, we are strengthening our presence in a key region for Italian railway mobility," said Marco De Rosa, HR Director, Alstom Italy. "We have created a modern and flexible work environment, close to the projects that are transforming mobility in the country, promoting collaboration, innovation, and well-being in line with the Group’s values and our commitment to attracting and developing new talent in the regions where we operate.”
Alstom currently employs over 270 professionals in Campania, distributed across its Nola (NA) site dedicated to maintaining the Italo fleet for NTV, the Naples Campi Flegrei and Naples Gianturco depots specialized in regional train and signalling system maintenance, and numerous construction sites involved in the implementation of new signalling technologies and infrastructure works.
