15 June 2026 – Alstom, global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, announces its commitment to the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program, a nationally recognised framework designed to support continuous improvement in Indigenous relations through independent, third‑party verification.

This commitment reinforces Alstom Canada’s long‑term approach to economic reconciliation and inclusive growth, supporting clear accountability and measurable progress in collaboration with Indigenous Peoples and communities on the territories where the company operates.

Established in 2001, the PAIR program provides participating organisations with a management and reporting tool, as well as a certification process recognising performance at the bronze, silver or gold level. Progress is assessed across four performance areas: Leadership Actions, Employment, Business Development, and Community Relations (Engagement and Support).

Through its participation in PAIR, Alstom Canada aims to further structure its efforts to support equitable partnerships, foster employment and economic opportunities, increase engagement with Indigenous businesses within its supply chain, and strengthen long‑term, trust‑based relationships.

“Joining the PAIR program is a concrete step in strengthening how Alstom embeds reconciliation and inclusion into the way we operate. It reinforces our commitment to listen and learn, and supports long‑term, trust‑based relationships with Indigenous Peoples, aligned with our commitment to social and economic reconciliation,” said Michael Keroullé, President of Alstom Americas.

Alstom Canada acknowledges that its activities take place on Indigenous territories and recognises the historical, cultural and spiritual connections Indigenous Peoples maintain with these lands. Guided by the principles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action, the company continues to integrate reconciliation into its business practices and long‑term strategy.
