Alstom recorded a record level of procurement from Spanish suppliers in the 2025/26 fiscal year, reaching €700.89 million.

14 July 2026 – Alstom has further strengthened its support for the Spanish industrial ecosystem during the 2025/26 fiscal year, with purchases from local suppliers amounting to €700.89 million. This record figure, representing a 32% increase year-on-year, consolidates Spain’s role as a key strategic base for Alstom’s industrial and technological activities. In total, Alstom worked with 746 suppliers in Spain, reinforcing a broad, diverse and highly specialised supply chain.

This growth highlights Spain’s importance within the Group, supported by a strong industrial and technological base covering the entire rail mobility value chain, from design and engineering to manufacturing, operations, maintenance and signalling.

A key player in the Spanish economy
With more than 170 years of industrial presence in Spain, Alstom has established itself as one of the leading companies in the national railway sector. During the 2025/26 fiscal year, the company achieved €897 million in sales, of which 50% corresponded to exports, confirming the international reach of its Spanish sites.
The company employs more than 3,000 people in Spain, within a diverse organisation comprising 44 nationalities, and generates a total estimated impact of over 7,500 jobs (direct, indirect and induced) across the country.
Alstom operates one of its most comprehensive industrial platforms in Europe in Spain, with more than 30 sites covering all rail mobility-related activities. Notable among these are four industrial sites located in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda (Barcelona), Trápaga (Bizkaia), Pinto (Madrid) and Getafe (Madrid), as well as specialised engineering and development centres for rolling stock, maintenance, digital mobility, signalling and rail safety.
The Santa Perpètua site, employing over 1,200 people, is a global benchmark in train manufacturing, with the capability to deliver fully integrated rolling stock projects (from engineering through to commissioning) for both domestic and international markets. Meanwhile, the centre of excellence for signalling and rail safety in Madrid leads national and international projects, including the latest technologies and digital solutions for autonomous driving, high-speed line signalling, safety and passenger information systems.
