Rural Rising: Holistic rural development
The Challenge
Communities face interconnected deficits in education, sanitation, healthcare, and livelihoods.
We created Rural Rising, a multi-theme intervention combining school refurbishments, water ATMs, sanitation, renewable energy, and women's skilling. Mangrove restoration protects biodiversity and livelihoods. The model sequences interventions so that improvements in health and education reinforce livelihood gains. The rationale: integrated, layered support creates step-change in rural quality of life.
