Faster construction for the same investment
Appitrack lays tracks three to four times faster than conventional track-laying methods for the same cost. A coordinated series of 3D-guided automated machines conducts successive operations, from concrete laying to baseplate insertion. These rationalised logistics leads to a reduced disruption during works and a shorter project completion time.
Versatility of application
Appitrack is Alstom's all-in-one track system solution, covering every stage from design and planning to construction and integration. Its flexibility makes it suitable for all rail systems such as metro, tramway, conventional, and high-speed rail. It is adaptable to tracks at-grade, in tunnel, and elevated tracks. It also supports floating slab track installations with noise- and vibration-dampening mats, making it ideal for dense urban areas and the modern metro lines which are more demanding in environmental mitigation impacts.
Economical and low impact
Without any further civil works necessary, the system requires less labour, which, combined with a 40% shorter works schedule, generates substantial cost savings. Its right of way also provides lower impact on street traffic, in addition to its faster work rate and less dustand, noise in the surrounding area.
