He will also become Country President - Germany taking over
from Georg Gasteiger. Gasteiger in his existing capacity as CEO
for ALSTOM Power AG can now  increasingly focus on growing
the power business in Germany.

After a long career with ALSTOM, Wilhelm Heitmann in his
previous assignment held a comparable function with another
major French company in Germany.

The reinforcement of our local Senior Management team
is a reflection of our confidence in the evolution of the
German power and transport markets and demonstrates the
importance of our German activities for the ALSTOM-Group as a
