Responsible business
Being a sustainable organisation includes acting with responsibility and accountability. Alstom's ethical business conduct, strict compliance practices, robust governance, strong risk management and responsible procurement together make up a true culture of integrity - essential to long-term performance and the trust of the communities in which we operate.
Ethics & Compliance
An unwavering commitment to integrity
Integrity, reliability and responsibility are at the core of all Alstom actions. A comprehensive Code of Ethics sets out shared principles for relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, partners and public authorities.
The Integrity Programme is supported by training, awareness initiatives and a global network of Ethics & Compliance Ambassadors. Certified anti-corruption management systems reinforce Alstom's commitment to ethical business conduct. Employees as well as third parties also have easy access to an alert system to report any suspected violations of the Code of Ethics or Alstom rules and policies. Reports can be made confidentially via a website or a dedicated hotline 365 days a year.
Procurement
Sustainable and responsible value chain
Alstom works with thousands of suppliers worldwide to reduce environmental, social and ethical risks across our supply chain. The Sustainable Procurement Policy and the Ethics and Sustainable Development Charter, signed by our suppliers, ensures their commitment to robust CSR practices. Supplier assessments, audits and improvement plans help strengthen performance and promote responsible sourcing and long-term partnerships.
Human rights
Human rights and ethical labour practices
Alstom respects internationally recognised human rights standards and follows OECD and ILO principles. With the help of strong human rights due diligence, Alstom ensures responsible labour practices and respect for people's rights throughout the value chain.
