Alstom at COP30
Investing in rail has a critical role in climate action - thanks to its proven ability to reduce emissions, support inclusive development, and scale clean mobility solutions. This is why Alstom is proud to join the dialogue in COP30 between 10-21 November in Belém, Brazil.
Since last year’s COP, we met our energy efficiency and emissions reduction targets ahead of schedule, achieved 100% eco-design, and succeeded in making 25.7% of our rolling stock out of recycled materials. This year, we intend to continue our efforts towards full sustainability.
“Decarbonising transport is one of the most powerful levers for addressing the climate emergency. Rail infrastructure investments are not just climate actions, they are social, economic, and environmental imperatives.”

This year also marks a special milestone: Alstom’s 70th anniversary in Brazil. And what better way to honor it than by contributing to global climate goals from the heart of Latin America? With deep roots in the country’s transit evolution, we are celebrating many decades of partnership, with community engagement and innovation as our driving force. Alstom’s legacy in Brazil reflects a broader mission: to deliver clean, smart, inclusive transport solutions. COP30 offers a unique opportunity to spotlight Brazil’s sustainability ambitions and Alstom’s role in shaping them.
