What you wanted to know about working with us - FAQ

  • Our internship program is aimed at individuals who are currently students and are interested in gaining their first professional experiences within our organisation.

We are looking for people who, like us:

    • Enjoy working with people – building trains or creating traffic control systems is teamwork.
    • Learn new things quickly – we constantly face interesting challenges.
    • Know English – we work in an international environment.

We invite students from technical, economic, and humanities-oriented universities to participate in We Train You internships in various departments (link to department descriptions), based on current possibilities and needs. Follow our announcements for detailed information:

    Katowice: rekrutacja.katowice@alstomgroup.com

    Wrocław: rekrutacja.wroclaw@alstomgroup.com

    Chorzów: rekrutacja.chorzow@alstomgroup.com

  • In the frame of the internship program, we invite you to collaborate based on a civil contract. The scope of the contract is individually determined with you and depends on the specifics of the department where the internship is conducted.

  • Some teams require your commitment for 5 days a week, while others allow for a narrower time frame (minimum 3 days a week) for the internship. If the internship programme allows, we always aim to be flexible in planning tasks to allow you to continue your education freely.

If the nature of a specific department allows, internships can also be partly conducted remotely. However, we believe that working in our offices is significantly better if you want to experience the true atmosphere of Alstom.

  • Your journey at Alstom will begin with an initial training cycle, which will acquaint you more closely with our organisation and team. In the first days of the internship, we'll also introduce you to your Buddy, who will support you throughout the entire internship period.

Gradually, you will receive increasingly complex tasks so that after a few months of collaboration with us, you will have the opportunity to fully understand the specifics of a particular department.

During the internship, we will also invite you to participate in a dedicated training programme for our interns, through which you'll be able to enhance your CV, LinkedIn profile, and understand the principles of navigating within a large organisation.

  • We believe that 6-8 months is an optimal period during which you will have the chance to understand our processes and the specifics of working in a particular department.
