A new CITADIS tram was displayed at the International Fair of
Bordeaux, which was opened by Francis Mer, France's finance
minister, and Alain Juppé, president of the Urban Community
of Bordeaux (CUB), on May 24.

Visitors to the fair were able to get a close-up look
inside and out of the tram, presented on tracks laid
specifically for it near the fair's main entrance.

The CUB's stand at the fair presented INNORAIL, ALSTOM's
innovative system for ground-level power supply, as well as the
full range of ALSTOM's CITADIS tram family.

The tram is one of 70 that will run on Bordeaux's new
tramways, which at completion will cover 45 kilometers. Part of
the network will begin service in early 2004.
