Luxembourg National Railways orders double-deck regional
trains

This order comes within the framework of a sales agreement
schedule for 629 CORADIA DUPLEX vehicles, signed by the SNCF in
November 2000. The first firm order of this agreement, financed
by the Regions of France, was for 205 vehicles.

The new order for 36 vehicles (12, 3-car trainsets), destined
for CFL, has just been confirmed to ALSTOM. These trains, which
operate at up to 160 km/h, will be used to assure an extremely
high level of comfort  for regional passengers. An identical
second order for CFL may follow in the near future.

  

ANF Industries ( Bombardier Transport ) will participate in
the manufacture of these trains.
