After intensive testing under way since January 2004, the
first trains are scheduled to enter service this Autumn.

The Mayor of Eskilstuna congratulated SJ on their choice of
train to answer growing local transport needs. Jan Forsberg,
president of SJ also evoked the increasing passenger numbers on
the Stockholm-Eskilstuna-Arboga line, an important factor in
the decision to expand the fleet of rail vehicles.

SJ ordered the trains from ALSTOM in January 2001
along with contract for the maintenance of the trains in
March 2004.
