Royal passengers on the Tenerife Tramway

The passengers traveled a stretch of approximately 8 kms by
tramway, which ran between the workshop building and the depot
and the La Cruz de Piedra stop. The 12,5 Kms long complete line
between the cities of Santa Cruz de Tenerifa and San
Cristóbal de la Laguna and is almost finished. The fleet of 20 tramways that will cover this line were
produced in the ALSTOM manufacturing site of Santa Perpetua de
Mogoda in Barcelona. The customer, Metropolitano de Tenerife, has
scheduled to start commercial service in April 2007.
