New regional trains for Umbria, Italy

The new trains will go into service in 2008 on the Terni -
Perugia - San Sepolcro line, connecting the north to the south
of the region. Each train, composed of 3 cars, will have
capacity for 219 passengers and will run at 160 km/h.

The trains will be manufactured entirely in
Transport’s Italian sites Savigliano, Colleferro and
Sesto San Giovanni.
