The first edition of BCN Railway Transport International
Exhibition took place in Barcelona from October 2 to October
5.
Alstom Transport participated in the congress with a 245 m2
stand, exhibited 2 cars from metro Barcelona-BCN S-9000, which
has neither driving board nor driver’s seat, 1 CITADIS
(light rail vehicle) from Madrid, an ERTMS simulator and
delivered product information about Infrastructure (TGS),
Information Systems (TIS) , Transport Life Services (TLS) and
their activities.
In parallel to the official programme of the congress,
Alstom Transport organized conferences about APS (Ground level
power supply) and ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management
System), exclusively addressed to customers.
A trip to Santa Perpetua site and in the Barcelona CITADIS
tramway was also arranged for the customers and some
journalists.
Among authorities attendance: the national and regional
transport Ministers, the presidents of Renfe and Adif and other
Spanish regional railway operators visited the stand of Alstom
Transport. Patrice Houdu, Managing Director for Spain &
Portugalwas also present during the event.
