Tobias Billström, Minister for Migration, thinks that
Swedish migration policy has been too narrow-minded and focused
on influx of refugees.

- Influx of foreign labour favours the growth and the welfare
in Sweden, says Tobias Billström.

Alstom is one of a few working sites at Norrköping,
which today has non-European employees. But it is difficult to
recruit outside EU.

- It would lead too much constructive for us, if this proposed
bill was carried, says Anders Gestrin, staff manager for Alstom
in Sweden. We welcome more collaborators from other countries
and notice many positive effects. They contribute much and have
today developed Alstom Sweden to be an international working
site with scope for different cultures and ways of working.

Tobias Billström expects the bill being presented
during the first half of 2008 and the proposed bills coming
into force on January 1, 2009.
