Inauguration of the Est High-Speed
Line

Alstom has carried out the infrastructure and signalling
work for RFF, in particular supplying the solid state
interlocking centres (IXL) for Vaires-Chelles, Reims, Pagny sur
Moselle and Strasbourg. The latter of these, which entered into
service on 5 November 2006, is the largest IXL in Europe, with
1,275 possible routes.



This is the same line that will host the attempt on the rail
speed record, organized by the three partners of Alstom, the
SNCF and RFF and scheduled for the first week in April.
