Nearly four years after entering into this agreement, Alstom
Transport has achieved significant results. In terms of
employment, 58 disabled employees have been recruited since
2006, with a significant increase in the share of
indefinite-term contracts. Over 500,000 has also been
invested with a view to helping disabled employees maintain
employment by providing working-environment adaptations
(including ramps, elevators and restrooms) and by partially
financing other items, such as specialized devices and vehicle
modifications.

Sites have also developed partnerships with the disabled:
between 2005 and 2008, the number of disabled providers
performing such services as the sorting of defective parts,
wiring, landscaping, translation, printing and photocopying
increased three fold.

In addition, information campaigns have been deployed
throughout the year in the form of human-resources staff
training, manager information sessions, brochure distribution,
poster-hanging in reception areas and more.

Candidates may submit CVs and ask any questions they might
have about Alstoms disability policy via

Alstoms Care for People initiative
The Care for People charter sets out a number of essential
concepts: a rigorous code of ethics, equal treatment for all,
open and considerate social relationships, strong health,
safety and environmental-protection commitments and ongoing
vigilance regarding personal-information protection.
