Next Tuesday, Senior Alstom executives will join government representatives and local officials including the Mayor of Sorel-Tracy, Canada, to celebrate the inauguration of the companys newest Global Technology Centre (GTC) in sustainable hydroelectric power technology.
The new GTC is located on the grounds of Alstoms existing North American hydro headquarters, manufacturing and engineering facility, and will serve as the companys global hub for research and development in hydro retrofit activities.
Alstoms advanced retrofit technology enables hydro facility operators the ability to generate more clean electricity with the same amount of water by increasing efficiency and throughput capacity.
The facility is the latest addition to Alstoms GTC network and will pursue new innovations in retrofit processes and technology through close working partnerships with current industry partners and academic institutions, thus helping to expand Alstoms global commitment to hydro generation.
Alstom is the world's leading hydro power equipment supplier and service provider.
