Alstom has received a bronze award at the 2012 Green Apple Awards for environmental best practice at a special ceremony in the House of Commons.
Entering the awards under the Transport Environment category, Alstom showcased our dedication to improving our environmental footprint with our success at deploying a zero to landfill programme across all of our Transport locations throughout the UK.
Alstoms Andréa Jacobs, EHS Business Partner, Steve Annable, EHS Manager, and Paul Crowley Lead Buyer, Central Sourcing attended the event and received the award on behalf of the company.
In addition to this win, Alstom is also as a finalist in the Sustainability Leaders Awards where we entered with B&M Waste Services, our waste management contractor. The awards ceremony will be held in London on 5 December.
The Green Apple Awards began in 1994 and have become established as one of the major environmental recognition schemes, both in the UK and internationally.
