Changing conditions for public transport by rail Alstoms focus at Persontrafik 2012

This years Persontrafik Fair was held at The Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre in Gothenburg, 27 29 November. Alstom was one of the sponsors and was present with a stand and numerous speakers.

A Train Day was organised on Wednesday under the direction Swedtrain*. Visitors to the fair could partake in around 20 seminars with a focus on public transport by rail. They also had the opportunity to meet representatives from companies within the rail industry.

The conditions for train travel in Sweden are constantly developing, regional traffic merges with national traffic and the challenge is therefore to create a transport system where the passengers can reach their destination in a smooth and efficient way. Alstom presented solutions for how we in Sweden can succeed in meeting the increase in public transport passengers, both in the form of new and flexible products and more effective maintenance. There was a big interest in Alstom and our solutions which we are very pleased about, said Henrik Anderberg, MD Alstom Transport Nordic Countries.
