Transports Publics 2012, a leading trade show for transport professionals, including operators, manufacturers, builders and sub-contractors, was held in Paris from 5 to 7 June. Intermodality, innovation and sustainable mobility were the focus of this years show.

Alstom presented Citadis Dualis, Citadis Compact, Metropolis, and its urban signalling solution, Urbalis. The companys expertise in infrastructure was also showcased with its track-laying solution (Appitrack), ground-level power supply system (APS), and HESOP, Alstom's technology for the recovery of braking energy. HESOP was also nominated for an Innovation Award in the Energy and Environment category.

The show also offered a chance to discuss the future of urban mobility. Nicole Bricq, French Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy, and Frédéric Cuvillier, Minister for Transport and Maritime Economy, were on hand to meet key players in the public transport sector, with whom they discussed the sustainability challenges facing governments in the future.

Citadis Compact and Citadis Dualis made a strong impression on the ministers when they visited the Alstom stand, because they are two new intermodal transport solutions that hold the key to the future of transport in the coming decades, as demonstrated by our new video Prospective Mobility
