World-class environmental technology celebrates 20 years

Alstom is a global leader in flue gas cleaning and control systems for power generation and industrial applications and continues to set the benchmark for innovative and environmentally friendly technologies. 20 years ago, the first high frequency power supply for electric filters was installed and has since contributed to reduced emissions of environmentally harmful substances and is a cost effective product for our customers. 

On October 23 Alstom in Växjö, Sweden, hence celebrated the 20th anniversary of the first commercial operation of the high frequency power supply called SIR. This involved the introduction of a new technology for energy supply to electrical filters. The technique has proven to be an effective way to improve both efficiency and power consumption.
