Alstom appoints new Country President for Australia & New Zealand

Alstom has appointed Domenic Rotili as Country President for Australia and New Zealand following the retirement of Chris Raine last month.

As Country President, Domenic will represent the Alstom Group throughout the region and will support and co-ordinate common strategies between Alstoms Power, Renewable Power, Transmission (Grid) and Transport Sectors. He will hold the Country President position in addition to his existing role as the Head of Alstoms Grid Sector for the pacific region.  

Domenic started his career in 1992 at Alstom as a product Engineer, having completed both an Electrical Engineering and Computing degrees at Queenslands University of Technology. In 1994, Domenic was seconded to the UK as an R&D Engineer, returning to Australia in 1996. 

From 2000 to 2004, Domenic took on commercial responsibilities and following the sale of Alstoms T&D business to Areva T&D and in 2004 was appointed as the Unit Commercial Manager for the Power Transformers business based in Brisbane, Queensland.

In 2007, Domenic was again seconded overseas as Global Commercial Operations Manager for the Power Transformers business. Returning to Australia in 2010 following the reacquisition of Areva T&D, Domenic took on the role as the Head of Grid Australia with responsibility for the business activity within the Pacific region.
