"The objective of the Paris-La Courneuve training centre is to provide our customers with training sessions for the maintenance of our trains, for driving them and for the best way in which to serve the passengers who travel on them, explains Eric Ribeyre, director of the training centre called the Knowledge Centre.
Based not far from Paris and close to Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, the Paris-La Courneuve training centre enables customers to take possession of their trains right from the production of the rolling stock and throughout its entire life cycle.
They can rapidly acquire here skills in all fields, from driving to maintenance.

Alstom employed a wide range of expertise to build the content of these training sessions with scenarios that are as close as possible to reality through virtual reality modelling of trains.
The aim for the customer is to reduce costs through short training periods and low immobilization of trains after their delivery.
These training sessions can be held either at the Paris-La Courneuve Knowledge Centre or at customers sites.
Recent examples include the training of SNCF driver instructors on virtual Régiolis trains or the first training sessions for PRASA, the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa which has ordered 600 XTrapolis Mega trains from Alstom.
Alstom is working together with its customers to prepare the future.
