Alstom receives recognition awards from the sector for the manufacture of Trains and Signalling Systems

Alstom was recognized as "Best Manufacturer of Passenger Rolling Stock" and "Best Manufacturer of Systems and Products - Signalling, Control and Telecommunications," according to the Revista Ferroviária 2018 Award. These represent the company's 14th and 15th achievements at the awards. 

The choice was made by members of passenger operators and customers from all over Brazil, with results announced at an event on June 14th in São Paulo (SP). 

In the portfolio responsible for the company's recognition is the manufacture of modalities and the implementation of Signalling Systems for the main urban mobility projects of the country, such as Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM), São Paulo Metro, Supervia, Metro Rio and VLT Carioca. 

"Alstom is proud to receive this recognition, which attests the quality of our expertise and the trust of our customers", says Pierre-Emmanuel Bercaire, Managing Director Alstom Brazil. According to Luciano Barbieri, Managing Director Signalling Alstom Latin America, "this achievement shows that we are on the right track to improve the mobility and implement increasingly innovative Signalling solutions for our customers and passengers", he says. 

This is the 29th annual edition of the Revista Ferroviária Awards. Each company competes in up to two categories, and the selection is made based criteria such as reliability, punctuality in delivery, safety, technological innovation and technical assistance. The awards are aimed at encouraging companies to seek efficiency and offer quality products and services to the Brazilian rail sector.
