Alstom will participate in Metro Latin America 2018, from June 6 to 8, 2018, with the aim of contributing to the discussions on the strategies and technologies that will make possible the implementation of sustainable mobility projects proposed in Latin America. The meeting will take place at the Dann Carlton Hotel in Medellin, Colombia and will gather more than 150 project managers from all countries in the region, as well as governors, investors, consultants and technology solutions suppliers.
Under the title "Orchestration of a multimodal public transportation network", Edouard Vagogne, Signalling General Director for Alstom's North LAM region, will present the innovative MASTRIA system, a multimodal management solution that allows efficient management of public transport, including metro, tramway, BRT and bus lines, and which is a great tool designed to improve the connectivity of the public transportation system. One of the main advantages is that, thanks to predictive data analysis supplemented by artificial intelligence, it can generate automatic and reliable reports that allow operators and mobility managers in cities to quickly implement alternative mobility solutions for passengers and citizens.
"One of the pillars that drives Alstom worldwide is technological innovation that meets the growing demand for sustainable mobility systems. As part of Metro Latin America 2018, we have the opportunity to share with the main leaders of the rail transport sector, the solutions that will successfully transform the mobility of the region," said Edouard Vagogne.
Metro Latin America is organized by Metro Americas, a specialized media in the railway transportation sector that works with the Latin American railway operators directors and metro systems for almost a decade, supporting the development of key urban transportation projects in the region.
Alstom has been present in Colombia since 1952 and has actively taken part in the country's national infrastructure development, providing solutions for passenger and cargo transportation.
