25 October 2022 – Guillaume Legoupil (MBA) has been appointed Managing Director for Alstom Transport Finland Oy, a global rail transport company, which is the largest player in the Finnish railway market.

Guillaume Legoupil has a long career in the rail industry and has previously worked in both Finland and Sweden for several years. Most recently, he has worked as a Sales Director and Engineering Director at Alstom.

“I am excited to take on this role and to me, it feels like being back home again,” says Guillaume Legoupil, who now has moved back to Finland from France. “Now the Finnish market is growing, and I am thrilled to ensure that our innovative solutions find their place in the Finnish market, as in the other Nordic countries – and this at a time when we urgently need to shift over to more green mobility.”

Alstom employs over 2,000 persons in the Nordics and is a key player in the Finnish railway market. The Alstom site in Helsinki hosts an engineering team, which is developing centralised train control systems for mainline and urban eco-systems. To date, Alstom has delivered 12 metro cars, 46 electrical locomotives, and over 50 trains in Finland, including the Pendolino high-speed trains.
