11 stations were open to the public and the Vennes workshop
was visited with great interest and curiosity. The visitors
were able to visit the trainsets. they also visited
Alstom’s stand, where a video about the Atlas* system was
at display.

The fully automatic, rubber-tired metro in Lausanne will enter
commercial service In September 2008. 15 2-car trainsets will
be delivered for the 14 stations metro.

*ATLAS is a signalling solution conceived by Alstom for the
ERTMS system (European Rail Traffic Management System).
