ALSTOM to supply GT10 gas turbine to Turkey

ALSTOM has received a repeat order for a complete GT10B gas
turbine generator installation from Modern Enerji part of EREN
HOLDING, Turkey.

The 25MW gas turbine will be installed in Corlu, near
Istanbul, and will form part of a combined cycle plant, which
will supply electricity and steam to a nearby factory. The
turbine will be delivered with a dual fuel combustion system,
and will be able to operate using a mix of fuels (natural gas
and diesel).

The GT10B gas turbine generator installation, including
generator, gearbox, control system and mechanical and
electrical ancillary equipment, is scheduled for delivery
during the second half of 2001.

The equipment will be delivered from ALSTOM Power's Swedish
facility, in consortium with ALSTOM Power ENERJI A.S.
Turkey.

The first GT10B to Turkey was sold in 1997. The first order
to Modern Enerji, was taken in February this year. Erection and
commissioning of this unit started in September.
