ALSTOM wins euros 7 million condensor contract from Alacan
in the UK

ALSTOM has won an order worth 7 million euros to refurbish
three condensers at Alcan Smelting and Power UK's 3x140 MW
Lynemouth coal-fired power station.

The modular rehabilitation technique developed by ALSTOM
Power to optimise the design of the condensers will ensure high
equipment reliability over the life of the power station and
will meet Alcan's requirements for rapid site installation.

With over 70 such projects completed worldwide, this latest
order confirms ALSTOM Power's leading position in condenser
refurbishment. Refurbishment improves performance, resulting in
a rapid return on the customer's investment, extends equipment
life-time and increases electrical output.
