The event venue is very important as ALSTOM has three joint
ventures with its Chinese partners and several metro references
in China. Moreover, the event is organized by UITP the
International Association of Public Transport.
ALSTOM has a stand in the 3
rd UITP Asia Pacific Mobility & City Transport
Exhibition scheduled to be held at Shanghais International
Convention and Exhibition Center where it will be displaying its
services and offerings such as Metro and Driverless metro rolling
stock, as well as its Maintenance, Signaling and Airport Link
references.
In addition, ALSTOM has a speaker present at the 1
st UITP International Metropolitan Railways Conference
scheduled for the 17-20 November 2002. Naor Wallach, CBTC Systems
Director, was invited by UITP to present a joint presentation
with representatives from Siemens and Alcatel entitled
'Modernization of New York metro system: the Canarsie Line
project.'
Furthermore, ALSTOM will organize a Technical Visit for the
congress attendees on the afternoon of the 20
th November. The visit will include a ride on the
Pearl Line Metro, and a visit to the SATCO (Shanghai ALSTOM
Transport Co. Ltd ) factory where the XinMin Line is assembled.
