ALSTOM wins 60 million euro order to supply metro trains
for Valencia, Spain

ALSTOM’s Valencia site will supply the trains, that
are destined for service on the metro’s Line 3 & 5.
Delivery is scheduled to begin in 2006.

The Valencia metropolitan railway network, which covers
133 kilometers, carried more than 51 million passengers in
2003. The current metro fleet includes 18 three-car trains
supplied by ALSTOM in 1995, and in 2003, FGV ordered nine light
rail vehicles for service on the Denia-Alicante line.

With more than 35 product lines and a presence in more than
60 countries, ALSTOM's Transport sector offers complete
products and services for new rolling stock, signaling, and
electrical and mechanical infrastructure as well as maintenance
and rehabilitation services to four distinct types of
customers: urban transit authorities and operators; intercity
